Dr. Arthur Sun
Prosthodontics
Dr. Arthur Sun is a specialist of Reconstructive, Cosmetic and implant Dentistry. He is one of the few prosthodontists in Massachusetts certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Sun has many years of experience conducting implant surgeries and implant restorative treatments. His clinical expertise is treating complex prosthodontic rehabilitation and dental esthetics in severely broken down dentition. Dr. Sun received his D.M.D., M.Sc.D., D.Sc.D. degrees as well as his Prosthodontic certificate of advanced graduate study (CAGS) from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. In addition, Dr. Sun received his certificate of Oral Implantology training from New York University and Brookdale Hospital.
Dr.Sun is a clinical associate professor of Department of Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials at GSDM. He teaches residents and graduate students in both Graduate Prosthodontic Program and Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. He has lectured nationally and internationally on prosthodontic rehabilitation utilizing dental implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, removable partial and complete dentures. His research background and interests are dental ceramic material and jaw bone preservation. Dr. Sun has been appointed visiting professor of several institutions abroad. He also holds an appointment from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine as a faculty of postdoctoral and graduate prosthodontics. His private practice is located in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Dr. Sun is active in dental community. He serves as editorial consultant to the Journal of Oral Implantology. He is a Fellow of American College of Prosthodontists and a Diplomate of American Board of Prothodontics. Dr. Sun received many awards for teaching excellence. He was nominated and listed in National Who’s Who.
